THREE (3) IMPORTANT ENTREPRENEURIAL TRAITS
-Pastor Olumese
Genesis 12:1-3 (MSG), “God told Abram: “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you. I’ll make you a great nation and bless you. I’ll make you famous; you’ll be a blessing… All the families of the Earth will be blessed through you.”
Today, let us look at some important traits you need to develop in order to succeed in your business venture. 1. Embrace possibilities over security. Before you think of starting a business, you would need to let go of your love for security and your hatred for risk. In our anchor scripture, we can see that God drove down this truth into Abraham, at the beginning of his journey to greatness. Business starters are usually pioneering and daring in nature. They have a healthy attitude towards embracing calculated risk in the journey toward the establishment of their dreams. This attitude I believe forms the frame work or foundation for their success in both life and business.
To succeed in business, you must also learn to: 2. Trust, even in the midst of uncertainty. Many times, in setting up a business, you will face a lot of uncertainties. Everyone who has succeeded faced them, the good news is that you can trust God to help you at such times. Isaiah 50:7 (NKJV) says, “For the Lord God will help me; Therefore I will not be disgraced; Therefore I have set my face like a flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed.”
3. You must be persuasive when asking for help and support. In Starting a business, you will need a lot of help from friends, family and even strangers. You must learn how to cast your vision in such a persuasive way that people would like to join you. Don’t be timid, believe in your vision enough and be honest. Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV) says, “Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” What God is saying is that you need to be so clear, precise and persuasive that others would want to run with you!
FURTHER STUDY: Luke 19:13 (NKJV), “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.”
CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS. I HAVE CREATIVE ABILITIES, I AM INNOVATIVE. I CAN SEE WORKABLE SOLUTIONS WHERE OTHERS SEE PROBLEMS. IN ALL I LAY MY HAND TO DO, I MAKE TREMENDOUS PROFITS.
