Yusuf Yakubu formerly known as ‘Gospel General’ is a UK-based Gospel minister, born and brought up in Nigeria, a photographer, meteorologist and an entrepreneur who just released his highly-anticipated single, BURN. The sensational worshipper and minister launched the new song on Sunday across all streaming platforms.
While the title captures the ‘Consuming Power of the Lion,’ the song captures a heart cry in the words of Prophet Jeremiah – Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (Jeremiah 20:9, KJV). Yusuf shares a heavy dose of encouragement with his new song;
“A broken and a contrite heart, an immense desire to turn from old ways to the way of the Lord. The cry of a continual fellowship and touch with the Holy Spirit. A prayer to only does what Jesus has laid in my heart to do. Only a heart that is consumed by the fire of God can do such things. A heart that carries and runs with the fire of the Spirit of God. This song is a prayer.”
