Na My Papa is a song I wrote after taking a retrospect of God’s faithfulness in my life in all ramification. Pondering on that, the song came from Malachi 3:6 “For I am the Lord, I change not therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed”
So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become a gospel artist?
I grew up in Kaduna, North centrance Nigeria. I started with the children’s choir in an Anglican church. I have always loved music. My mum told me how I used to pay attention to any sound even when I was a toddler. From there I went joined school choirs and so on.
Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get platforms to minister and airplay some tips?
Don’t do things because others are doing it. Be yourself. Discos your strengths and build on it. You cannot sing like everybody.
Do you ever make mistakes during music ministration/performances? How do you handle that?
Everyone does but experience has taught me to overlook the mistakes and continue. God knows how to fix it especially if He’s the one you are really acknowledging. Some of us take the glory from God so He allows us to make the mistake and endure the shame.
