NEW MUSIC: EMMYKOKZ – WE ARE ONE FT SULEJA ALL STARS | @emmykokz @grandmince

0

Here’s a unity song by Emmykokz featuring Suleja All-stars which projects a call for unity. Love does not envy; it does not hate. Love accepts your flaws and sees the good in you. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live in unity” (Psalms 133:1). In a world like ours, we need to see ourselves in others. We need to understand that WE ARE ONE. The world can be what we want it to be; a safe haven with love; a dungeon void of love. The choice is ours. Love is the answer. We are one!

MEET THE ICON: Guest – MacNuel Davids

0

Meet the Icon is an interview series that features one gospel artist every week on www.favouriteemusic.com where they get to tell us about their music career and experience and  some insider info about their personal lives. MacNuel Davids premieres the MEET THE ICON series. Find out from the excerpt below some questions you’d want to ask this amazing gospel music minister.
MCNUEL DAVIDS

NameEmmanuel David
Stage NameMacNuel Davids
So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become a gospel artist?I grew up in cross river state, spent the early years of my life with my grand mother so growing up wasn’t so juicy because she was so protective and I wasn’t like every other kid. Moved to Lagos when I was 10, move to Kano when I was 14.
I growing up, I discovered I had something that needed an expression. I tried to express it in the best possible ways but acting, dancing, comedy, Comperé, but all these couldn’t really express what i wanted and what I had to say, then I found the expression in music. I discovered I could sing when I use to attend Winners Student Fellowship. Although before then I did commercial music with a couple of friends and it wasn’t just my thing so immediately I tried gospel, all what I had been looking for was just waiting at the balcony waiting for me to reach it.
Do you ever make mistakes during music ministration/performances? How do you handle that?Oh yea! I do! A couple of times I get carried away with the rhythm of the music and Ministration  I forget my lines, even the lines to my song. I also remember I forgot the song   arrangement while ministering and just then I needed something to keep the Ministration going so just then an idea or a song would just come and the ride just goes on smoothly
Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?Yes! I have that on my To-Do List but in still have a lot on my table to clear up before that comes up! A lot of things are cooking already and when they all materialize, you’ll get the information ASAP
How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?Imitation will always be the spring board to originality. I often times look at what’s trending and then tweak it a bit to suit my target audience. I haven’t gone commercial yet so I just stick to blogging and having the songs trend on media platforms and social media as well.
If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?Tasha Cobbs at Hillsong Church, Micah Stampley at Potters House , Frank Edwards at The Experience, Lagos, Dare Art Alade at Music Feast , ASA Live in Concert, Johnny Drille, M.I, Djinee.
Do you have a manager or your prefer to manage your music yourself? How can one reach you if they would like to have you perform/minister at their program/event?I presently don’t have a manager. You can put me on a call; I check my schedules; get permission from my home church; and make some enquiries about your ministry and objective of the meeting; and, that’s it!
So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?Yea… working on an Afro pop songs. It’s different from what I have on platforms. I know you’ll like it.
If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?I would be doing marketing and Publicity for corporate firms and brand development also.
What should fans look forward to in the next couple of months, year or so?Just wait for the Banger!?
I’m making a lot of changes and add-ons to my as a brand. And it’s getting public very soon.
Would you like your Fans to know the next place you would be ministering? Venue, Date and TimeYea!
Join me at Night Of Glory with Pastor Olumese on the 4th Of May, 2018!
Amazing Grace Church, The Palace, Ibo Road/Abeokuta Road, Kano, Nigeria
Any Shout-outs?Hmmmm… None?

According to Almira: “Psalm 29 verse 2 enjoins us to “Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.”
“This song is very dear to my heart because the glory of God is what He is essentially. When we give glory to God, we ascribe to Him his full recognition. It is my earnest prayer that as you listen to this song it will prompt you to worship the Most High God, giving glory due his name.

ABOUT ALMIRA
Osadolor Deborah Osadebame popularly known as Almira was born in Lagos, Nigeria. She hails from Edo state, South-South region of Nigeria. Her father, Archbishop Peter Okoduwa, is a minister in The Pentecostal Church (Dispensational Gospel Mission) and from an early age she developed a love for both music and drumming.
She was inspired when she saw Michael W. Smith, a prominent gospel musical icon in concert over twenty years ago and since then, her passion for music has grown and translated into various musical experiences. In her early years, she developed a rather uncommon interest for rock music and began listening, imitating and playing to the music of Michael W. Smith, Sinach, Kirk Whalum, and other rock luminaries.
Her zeal for music made her join the choir (The Voice of Grace Choir, Lagos) at the age of 8. About that time, Almira was training and learning the jazz drum which led to becoming the assistant drummer in the church where she grew spiritually.Over time, Almira began sensing a deep yearning within; there was more to her music than she thought.
She diligently took time to seek the Lord under the Mentorship and guidance of Pastor Osideko Precious in Christ Embassy under the Love World Ministry for about four years while studying at the University of Lagos. She moved to RCCG (The Redeemed Christian Church of God) after school where she is currently serving God and where she developed an intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
She realized that music was more than an item to fill a space in time but a calling in the Lord’s vine yard. After many trying periods, her music ministry was born and for Almira, the main thrust was PRAISE & WORSHIP; one that ministered exclusively to the Lord and an avenue through which HE related with His people. Her singing style has since ushered many in concerts and churches into the presence of the LORD.
Almira, a graduate of the University of Lagos, is a mother and a wife. She is also a recording artist and loves to see music as an expression of God’s word to his people. She currently has songs like Alagbara, Anamefe, Me and You
