Harmonizing with Good Friday and Easter, California based worship leader Phil Wickham releases the timely “Living Hope”.
The single was co-written with Brian Johnson (Bethel Music) and will impact radio on Friday. Wickham offered listeners a sneak peek infused countdown on social media. Speaking to the resounding power of the song, churches across the country organically picked up on the track before its release.
“Last year, Brian Johnson (Bethel Music) and I started writing a song over text,” shares Wickham. “Over the course of a month we threw lyrics and voice memos back and forth.
The result of all of those text messages was this song, ‘Living Hope.’ I remember both of us feeling that something special had been given to us, and it’s become an anthem at both of the churches where we lead. The fact that this song has already found its way into other church communities before it’s even been released makes me so excited for what God has in store.”
“Living Hope” marks the first single from Wickham’s anticipated new record due out later this year. The newest collection of music will follow suit with his 2016 release Children Of God which critics noted was “Phil Wickham at his best” (Worship Leader).

Gospel music minister Preye Odede has followed the release of the “READY” album with the video for the single “Oshimiri Atata”.

“Oshimiri Atata” was released in September 2017 to usher in the “READY” album, which was released in December of the same year. Preye Odede has extended the frontiers of the wave-making album by following up with the video.

Preye Odede uses a simple plot to illustrate the theme of the song – God, the river that never runs dry in all His sustainable capacity renders to us His power and love and keeps giving without running out.

“Jesus invites us to drink from him as our source in John 7:37, so in Igbo language of Nigeria, we call him “Oshimiri Atata”, (the river that never runs dry). It is a song of worship and acknowledgment of God’s ever-present nature and Him as our source that never runs dry. He is always there to help, supply, protect and do even much more that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard and minds have not conceived. Even when men fail and disappoint you, God is always there, whenever you call him, he answers, I know this because I drink from that source, try and see, God is “Ekwueme” (the one who does what he says). The new single ‘Exalted’ by Glowreeyah Braimah was inspired by an everyday occurrence – a beautiful Sunset.

According to Glowreeyah:

“While I was driving to a mall one Saturday evening, I spontaneously started singing ‘Oh my soul, you must arise and see your God exalted’. A wave of ecstatic joy hit me on the spot.I parked my car and right in front of me, I saw the sun setting on the horizon. I got out of my car and lifted my hands out there in the parking lot.

The revelation of the moment for me was simple. That sunset showed me that even though the sun in all its glory was going down that evening, it would surely be set to rise the following morning.

I knew at that moment the purpose of the song.

Our souls are the spark of God in us.Without the soul, our bodies are like light-bulbs without electricity; like computers without the software, and even when we have setting moments like the sun, we must be able to rise again and again and again.

Our souls carry the life of God. According to the second line of the song, ‘His Spirit-Air is all we breathe’.

Our living souls must reflect life, sight and hearing thought and speech, intelligence, and emotions, will and desire, personality, and identity.

When your soul is downcast, it loses its essence. Its raison d’être. It’s reason for living.

Seun Adekunle popularly known by his stage name Sheun releases a new rock feel song “Cover Me” with the chorus from the popular hymn “Rock of Ages”. Sheun affirms that we can’t do anything without the covering of the Rock of Ages (Jesus Christ).
Sheun is an Indigene of Ondo State, Nigeria. Born in Thessalonica, Greece over three decades ago. An Architect by profession and a great lover of music, his music journey started about 23 years ago and in the course of his journey he has worked with the likes of Hugh Masekela Rampolo of South Africa, Dare Art Alade and a few others.
