Good Afternoon Beloved!
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – Saturday, June 17 2017
TOPIC: ACHIEVE MORE FOR HIM
PASTOR CHRIS
Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place (2 Corinthians 2:14).
In these last days, the Lord has specially graced His Church for significant attainments and ever-increasing glory. If there was ever a time to commit yourself to the Lord and do more for Him, it’s now. However, don’t expect everything to go smoothly just because you’ve decided to do more for the Lord. You’re likely to face adversities for daring to go the extra mile and do bigger things for the Master, but refuse to be moved. Our glory and victory in Christ is an eternal one. Read our opening verse again. In the midst of trouble, you’ll be triumphant as you set your focus on the Lord and what He’s called you to do.
Yes, there’s an adversary; there’s a dark realm over this world and in this world, which we’re set against; but the Word gives us clear instructions on what to do. It says, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand” (Ephesians 6:13).
Don’t weaken or cower under the pressure; put on the whole armour of God! Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Trust Him, for you’re sufficient in His sufficiency, and as a result, you can achieve whatever you set your heart to achieve.
CONFESSION
I’m from above. Though I live in this world that’s influenced by the devil, I don’t belong here; I hail from God. I refuse to bow to pressure; rather, I stand tall always, knowing the Lord is the strength of my life.
FURTHER STUDY:
James 1:2-4
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have [her] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear
Philippians 2:12-13
Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.

SATURDAY 17TH
REGULATE YOUR LIFE BY WHAT GOD SAYS
-Pastor Olumese
2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMPC), “For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.”
As children of God, we are so blessed by God with the opportunity and ability to live a life that is beyond the dictates of our senses. We are directed by the Holy Spirit, therefore we have access to a superior kind of experience in our everyday life. We tackle situations differently from the rest of the world because God’s word says in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NCV), “We live by what we believe, not by what we see.” So when others see difficulties, we begin to see possibility. Mark 9:23 (NKJV) says, “Jesus said to him, “if you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Many times in life, what may be obvious is usually different from the strategy of the Spirit. You must refuse to be swayed by what is obvious. Allow God’s Spirit to lead you because you are a child of God and you have access to the leading of the Spirit. If you limit yourself to what you can see, hear, touch, smell or taste, you would be regulating your life by incomplete truth. There is so much around you that your physical senses may not be able to pick, but if you rely on the direction of the Spirit of God that knows the end from the beginning, you can be rest assured that you will not fall into challenges that you cannot overcome. I love what the Bible says in Psalm 37:23 (NKJV), “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his ways.” The Bible also says in Romans 8:14 (NKJV), “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.” You have a right to be led and governed by your faith in God’s Spirit. Don’t settle for less. Live your life based on what God is saying.
Just like the children of Israel moved forward based on God’s word even though there was the Red Sea in front of them, learn to listen beyond what your senses are picking and act based on the leading of the Spirit.
FURTHER STUDY: 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV), “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT. AS A CHILD OF GOD, I AM LED BY THE SPIRIT, NOT BY MY CIRCUMSTANCE. I LIVE IN THE REALM OF POSSIBILITY ALWAYS.
ACTION POINT: When it looks like the way in front of you is blocked, listen to the directive of the Spirit.

Hallelujah Challenge by Nathaniel Bassey draws the attention of CNN

0

The one hour halleluya challenge organised by Nathaniel Bassey has got the attention of thousands of Nigerians and others from other countries. Yesterday being the 15th of July, Torera Idowu and Stephanie Busari from CNN wrote about it. Here is what they stated:

“”It is perhaps an unlikely setting for a praise and worship session. But every day at midnight, thousands of worshippers around the world have logged on to Instagram to lift their voices in praise and prayer, united by one hashtag: #HalleluyahChallenge.

More than 60,000 people have joined in the Instagram praise and worship in an hour long midnight gathering, which is the brainchild of Nigerian gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey.

It all started with a simple post on his Instagram page on the 31st of May, where Bassey signaled his intention to start a 30-day midnight praise challenge throughout the month of June.

Even Nigeria’s expensive internet data costs have seemingly not deterred eager worshipers who have flocked to the livestream on his Instagram and Facebook pages.

At its peak on Monday, CNN observed that around 68,000 people joined the Instagram livestream, while over 50,000 joined the Facebook livestream.

Statistics from Evolve Press reveal 10,000 posts with the hashtag “#HallelujahChallenge” and over 18,000 with the hashtag “#olowogbogboro” making it the number one trend in Nigeria.

Bassey said he did not imagine the movement would become so popular on Facebook and Instagram.

“I had a sense which is the leading of the spirit to praise God the whole of this month,” Bassey told CNN

“Against the backdrop of the challenges in the world today especially in our nation, with the scourge of terrorism and the recession … it has brought a sense of hope and respite. It is a reflection of the desire and hunger for answers and for hope,” he said.

Bassey frequently shares testimonies of participants who say taking part in the challenge has yielded results and a change in their circumstances.

“He’s on course to build the largest congregation ever with 1 phone and Instagram /Facebook” said Facebook user OO Nwoye.

“One lesson I have taken away from the success of this #hallelujahchallenge is have a specific/consistent theme and go live at a time the audience would not be distracted. This has helped in the pulling together the mass compared to others who have tried adhoc live streaming.” he added.

The #Halleluyahchallenge has also gained the attention of popular Nigerian celebrities like Funke Akindele, Don Jazzy and Toke Makinwa who have also shared the hashtag with their followers.

The movement has however not been without criticism. Media entrepreneur, Joy Isi Bewaji criticized it in a Facebook post calling it a “cute online revival.”

“This… will change nothing… We have had too many spiritual revolutions. What we need is a mental one.”

“You cannot pray Nigeria to greatness… It is not up to God to save the rot in our educational institutions or fix the drainage on our roads. It’s up to us. And we can’t do any of that on our knees. ” she added.””

FRIDAY 16TH
CHRIST TOOK YOUR PLACE, TAKE HIS
-Pastor Ogechi
2 Corinthians 8:9 (NKJV), “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.”
The beautiful thing about the coming of Jesus is in the beautiful exchange God carried out for us in Christ. Jesus had everything going for Him, but for your sake, He chose to lose it all in a heartbeat, in order for you to enter into the reality of everything He enjoyed. The truth is that you no longer need to suffer in frustration, rejection or defeat because Jesus took your place in all of those already.
In Mark 15:34, The Bible says, “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” So Jesus was forsaken and dejected at that point, but what I want you to see is what God was doing in that same moment. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” Can you imagine that, while Christ was feeling rejected, you were becoming accepted.
Dear friend, all you need to do now is this: in every area of your life right now, where you may be going through some hard times, see yourself in Christ. Begin to visualize all that Jesus accomplished for your sake. See yourself taking the place of glory in Christ. John 20:21 says, “So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” Think about that, whatever cannot happen to the high and lifted Christ should never be allowed to find expression in your life because of the glorious work that Jesus did for you on the cross of Calvary! He took your place and now that He has done that, He has given you a place far above principalities and powers. It is time for you to enjoy your new status in Christ!
FURTHER STUDY: 1 John 4:17 (NKJV), “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”
CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I AM GLAD I BELONG TO JESUS. EVERY THING JESUS DID ON THE CROSS, HE DID IT WITH ME IN MIND. THEREFORE, I CANNOT BE FRUSTRATED, REJECTED OR IMPOVERISHED. I WALK IN JOY, VICTORY AND IN SUPER ABUNDANCE ALWAYS.
ACTION POINT: Begin to see yourself from the eyes of the finished work of Christ.
ONE YEAR BIBLE READING PLAN:  Nehemiah 4-6; Acts 2:22-47

TOPIC: GRACED TO EXCEL
PASTOR CHRIS
According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon (1 Corinthians 3:10).
As Christians, we’re all gifted and graced by God to excel in life. There’s the general grace of Jesus Christ which we all received for salvation. Also, there’s the specific grace that God gives you on the basis of His calling on your life. The general grace of God is what brought you salvation and protects you in salvation. However, when God calls you, He gives you a responsibility and the grace to fulfil that responsibility.
In our opening verse, for example, Paul talked about the grace of God, which was given to him for a specific ministry that the Lord had committed to him. We have another example in Romans 12:6-7, where he writes, “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering….”
The expression, “let us wait on our ministering” doesn’t mean to wait in line until you have the opportunity for ministry; it means to serve. It means to take advantage of the grace God has given you for service in fulfilling your unique calling in Him.
Whatever “gift” you’re given, devote yourself to it; focus on it and take advantage of that grace. Perhaps your grace may be the ability to sing; that means you’re graced to minister and bless God’s people through music. This is much more than having a nice voice or the ability to sing nicely. There’s an inspiration that flows when you sing; a ministration that imparts the Spirit and changes lives. Someone else might sing the same song in the same way and not accomplish the same result.
The beautiful thing, however, is that each one of us is uniquely graced to excel, and to fulfil the will of God for our lives. That grace covers you and protects you in the things that God has called you to do. As long as you’re functioning in that grace, nothing can stand against you successfully; you’ll produce results for His glory. Moreover, as you remain humble and walk in love, God grants you more grace for greater victories. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the immeasurable grace you’ve made available to me in Christ to fulfil your will and purpose here on earth. I take advantage of your grace, which causes your blessings, beauty, perfections and excellence to be revealed in and through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen

2 Timothy 2:1
Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL WEDNESDAY, 14TH JUNE

ROR14
Good Morning Beloved!
RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DAILY DEVOTIONAL
WEDNESDAY, 14TH JUNE…
THEME-: WE’RE THE GENERATION OF JESUS CHRIST!
PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME
And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins (Genesis 35:11).
The nations and kings that’ll come from Abraham as our opening verse declares, aren’t the nations in the Middle East as some people think; those are earthly nations. God is dealing here with something spiritual; His promise to Abraham was an eternal covenant, and the heir of that covenant is Jesus Christ, with whom we’re joint-heirs.
Galatians 3:16 says, “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Then, the twenty-ninth verse says, “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Having been born again, you’re born into Christ; you belong to the generation of Jesus Christ! Therefore, the promises that were made to Abraham belong to you.
When you look through the teaching of God’s Word about the generation of Jesus Christ, from Abraham to David, you’ll observe that there’re fourteen generations, even when you count into the carrying away to Babylon (Matthew 1:1-17). However, from the carrying away to Babylon unto Christ, when you count the generations listed, you’ll discover that they’re actually thirteen generations. Is there a contradiction? Not at all! Thirteen is listed instead of fourteen, because the Bible says a seed (a generation) shall serve Him, which is the Church.
Isaiah 53:10 says, “…He shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hands.” That’s referring to the Church; we’re the seed of Jesus Christ. We’re His generation. There’re two generations in Christ: Jesus Himself, and the Church. The Bible says to the Lord we’re counted for a generation. So, we’re the ones He was referring to in Genesis 35:11 when He said, “…a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins.”
CONFESSION :
I belong to Christ; therefore, I’m the seed of Abraham and an heir according to the promise. I’m Christ’s extension in the earth, His outstretched arm to a dying and hurting world. I unveil His blessings and dispense His goodness, wisdom and love; I’m His light in a dark world. Hallelujah!
FURTHER STUDY:
Romans 12:4-5
For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: 5 So we, [being] many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
1 Corinthians 12:27
Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
Psalm 145:10-13
All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. 11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; 12 To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. 13 Thy kingdom [is] an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endureth] throughout all generations.
