Joy Okeke, a Nigerian gospel artist and songwriter based in the United States, has released a new single titled “Name Jesus”. The song, inspired by the Holy Spirit, emphasizes the power and glory of the name of Jesus. It reminds listeners that Jesus’ name is the only power capable of delivering them from any situation they find themselves in.

Born on February 28th in Lagos State, Nigeria and hailing from Enugu state in the eastern part of the country, Joy is the firstborn of six children. She began singing at a young age and is a graduate of Business Administration, specializing in banking and finance, from Ahmadu Bello University in Nigeria. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Immaculata University in Pennsylvania, USA.

Joy released her first album, “The Anointed Joyful Praise”, in 2018, featuring uplifting gospel songs that continue to trend in the Nigerian Christian community. Her second album, “Inspirational Kind Praise”, was released in 2022 with more anointed songs.

Aside from her music career, Joy works as a registered nurse and is married with children.
