FERVENT PRAYER: LEARN TO PRAY OUT LOUD
-Pastor Olumese

Psalm 55:17, “Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, and He shall hear my voice.”

To be fervent means: to have or display a passionate intensity. So when we talk about fervent prayer, the first thing that should come to your mind should be a prayer that displays passionate intensity!
A fervent prayer should be prayed aloud! Most often, a truly fervent prayer will stir up your spirit (and in time), bubble up great emotions within you as you pray out loud. Although, praying out loud may not be appropriate for every setting (like when you sense the need to pray inside an exam hall). But beyond such circumstances, it is wisdom for you to create the right atmosphere where you can let yourself loose before God and pray out loud.
Acts 4:24 (NLT) says, “When they heard the report, all the believers lifted their voices together in prayer to God…” You must allow yourself to take a cue from the early apostles. When they prayed, they lifted their voice, you too must learn to do likewise!

FURTHER STUDY: Hebrews 5:7, “While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard His prayers because of His deep reverence for God.”

CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS; MY PRAYER IS FULL OF PASSIONATE INTENSITY. WHEN I PRAY, I MAKE TREMENDOUS POWER AVAILABLE THAT IS DYNAMIC IN ITS WORKINGS. I PRAY ALOUD!

ACTION POINT: Let yourself loose in prayer, be fervent and intense!

ONE YEAR BIBLE PLAN: Leviticus 6-7; Matthew 25:1-30
