MONDAY 19TH
JESUS IS THE BRIDGE
-Pastor Ogechi
1 Timothy 2:5 (NLT), “For There is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity – the man Christ Jesus. He gave His life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave the world at just the right time.”
By the sin of Adam, man was locked without hope into a chaotic cycle of continuous failure and struggling. In Genesis 3:17-19 (NKJV), God, in response to Adam’s action of disobedience, said, “Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, and you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground…” no matter how hard any man tries, the cycle will continue because no amount of strength or physical determination could save any descendent of Adam from the curse of God.
The Bible says in 1 Samuel 2:9 (NIV), “He will guard the feet of His faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. It is not by strength that one prevails.” Only God can take man out of the prison of the cursed life and bring Him into a new vista of possibilities. Thanks be to God, a special bridge has been provided for us. We no longer need to be connected to Adam and the curse that came upon Him, we no longer need to be separated from the Father God. We can come through the bridge called Christ and remain in the presence of God forever without timidity. John 14:6 (NKJV) says, “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
The gospel is simple; you don’t have to stay in the place of spiritual deprivation and confusion, because we now have a mediator; we now have a bridge – Jesus Christ the righteous!
FURTHER STUDY: Colossians 1:12-13 (NLT), “Always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to His people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”
CONFESSION: I BOLDLY CONFESS, I HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM ADAM AND THE CURSE UPON HUMANITY. I AM CONNECTED TO CHRIST, AND THROUGH HIM I HAVE WALKED INTO THE BLESSINGS OF GOD FOR THE NEW CREATION. I AM ACCEPTED IN THE BELOVED PRAISE GOD.
ACTION POINT: Make a list of your ‘in-Christ’ realities and keep confessing them.
